As president of NBC Sports Regional Networks and NBC Sports Group Platform and Content Strategy, David Preschlack oversees nine big-market regional networks–two of which finished No. 1 in their respective markets in 2017–and manages relationships with valued partners such as NBA, MLB, and NHL teams. Reporting to the chairman of NBC Broadcasting and Sports, Mark Lazarus, David Preschlack also leads NBC Sports' strategy regarding existing and in-development content. Since taking on the position in 2016, he has overseen the creation of the company's first e-sports tournament, Universal Open: Rocket League, and launched its first local direct-to-consumer streaming platform, NBC Sports Gold's Blazers Pass.
Prior to joining NBC Sports, David Preschlack built a 20-year career with Disney and ESPN, where he most recently served as executive vice president of the conglomerate's affiliate sales and marketing group. In this capacity, he managed oversight of content distributed on platforms such as WATCH ABC, ESPN3, and WATCH Disney.
Throughout his career, Mr. Preschlack has been named to the SportsBusiness Journal's Forty Under 40 list on three separate occasions and received the 2013 NCTA Vanguard Award. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he serves on the board of directors for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Connecticut and enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
